Golden Temple is a small portion of the huge Gurudwara complex. This complex contains Sikh Museum, Ramgarhia Bunga and other spiritual spots. The place where sacred ‘Guru Granth Sahib’ is placed is known as ‘Akal takhat’, from where a continues chant takes place during summers and winters at 4 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. and 5 A.M. to 9:40 p.m., respectively. Golden Temple Prasadam is distributed accordingly to the above-mentioned timings. Baisakhi is the main festival celebrated in the temple with much enthusiasm. Along with religion equality, this temple also preaches ethics of community, sharing, inclusiveness and oneness of all humankind through ‘Langar’, where every sect of society sits and eat together.
